The cooking classes held in Cortona, in the beautiful rooms of restaurant La Bucaccia, have been conceived and organized by Romano Magi for foodies and cooking lovers, who are curious to learn and know more about the Tuscan culinary scene. Through the preparation of simple traditional recipes that you can easily do at home, Romano will present the right ingredients to use, the techniques and cooking methods, providing you with advice, tips and secrets for a perfect meal.
Theory will then be followed by practice. All wrapped in aprons, the people attending cooking classes at restaurant La Bucaccia will deal with the preparation of a full menu of traditional dishes, both local and more generally spread in Tuscany. From starter to first course, main course, side dish and dessert there will be a lot to do in a fun and interesting way.
For an adequate learning with the aim of making all participants feel at ease in the kitchen of La Bucaccia, our cooking classes have a limited number of maximum 10 people. Romano will show how to make handmade fresh pasta or fragrant bread by using flour of Verna wheat, an ancient variety of wheat cultivated in the Valdichiana valley. The restaurant owner says that "we should never forget our origins nor put craftsmanship aside. They are two strong points we should be proud of". Apart from first courses, meat main courses will be also described and skillfully cooked.
The cooking classes of restaurant La Bucaccia intend to be a way to make people discover the flavors and natural scents of the traditional Cortonese cuisine. At the end of each class, participants will share and enjoy the dishes they have prepared.
